How it all started
I started my career as a hairdresser and stylist in 2008 in my husband’s hometown, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Taking care of my customers’ hair quickly became my passion. Creating personal styles is what makes me happy. As an Armenian immigrant in Bulgaria, adapting to a new culture wasn’t easy — but with persistence and a supportive family, I found my community and thrived professionally.
In 2010 my husband won a Green Card, and we moved to the USA the following year. We settled in Atlanta and started from the ground up. I was ready to take on any job to support my family. Fate had another plan.
I was hired at Lucy Hair Salon. I freely spoke three languages, but English wasn’t one of them. I am forever grateful Lucy took a chance on me and gave me a foundation for everything that followed.
Five years later I joined Tony & Guy Academy, earned my license, and after a few more months in another salon, opened Margie Salon in East Cobb in 2017 — turning passion into a favorite beauty spot.
